2005 - The Year in Review
Your Community Relations Committee would like to give you a brief overview of the activities and contributions which ALA has been involved in this year. Our goal has been to give something back to our community with our time and money and to involve as many people as possible. Here are the projects and organizations we have helped to date:

Austin Resource Center for the Homeless

Briefcase Drive -
ALA donated 42 briefcases collected from our member law firms
August
Habitat for Humanity
Served lunch for Habitat workers
October
Habitat Blitz Build
Served dinner for Habitat workers who built a house in just 7 days
November
Habitat for Humanity Legal Build
ALA Community Challenge Weekend Project
Eleven ALA members, four business partners, one spouse of ALA member and two co-workers of ALA member for a total of 18 people spent a Saturday working on two houses, one of which was the Legal Build House In addition, we donated $500 for new gardening tools. We also gave the recipient family a housewarming gift of beautiful pottery dishes to enjoy in their new home.

Contributed $500 to each of the following organizations:

- Austin Children's Shelter
